Wellness - conventional and alternative medicine working together
Wellness means balance on all levels of our being, including spiritual, emotional and physical. Everything is energy and the entire universe, including ourselves and animals consist of it.
The simple fact is that not all pets are alike. That's why I believe it is important to customize my client’s care to their lifestyles, their age, where they live and what they like to do for fun and exercise. All these factors are important considerations in determining whether energy work, massage, or both, is best for your pet.
Massage and Reiki for general wellness promotes good health and well-being, improves immune function, aids in organ function, enhances mental clarity, removes toxins from the body, reduces stress, reduces pain and swelling. Also, it aids in medical conditions such as allergies, arthritis, circulatory problems, sports injuries and muscular skeletal disorders.
Optimal animal nutrition is also an important factor your pet’s overall wellness. Most people don’t realize that just because a pet food is labeled 100% complete, balanced or premium, it doesn’t mean it is a nutritious and healthy food. Many of these foods contain contaminants along with chemical additives, and lead to allergies, diabetes, endocrine disorders, and some forms of cancer. Knowing what is in your animal is really eating is so important. We will work together to devise a nutritional plan that works within your budget and lifestyle to find a food that meets your pet’s specific needs.
(Nutrition recommendations included with your initial session and available as needed on an on-going basis)
Of course a complete wellness plan must include regular veterinary care and we think of our services as a compliment to your animal’s whole health package. There are also many other treatment options out there such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, chinese herbology and holistic medicine to name a few. We partner with you and your pet’s other health care providers to ensure that we keep them healthy and happy!
